You can definitely earn with NewsBreak - and it took me 30 days AFTER reaching the minimum threshold to be monetized - I've heard other writers wait a bit longer. I think they are flooded with apps, and it takes time - and, of course, it's possible they won't approve your app - Still, as recently as January I've known writers to become monetized within 30 days (or less) of reaching the follower/article counts.
