Yes!! The narrative paradigm is a key way to engage a reader. You tell a story - even if you write news, nonfiction, serious shit. You have to engage the reader - take them on a journey. I write a lot of serious/news-y pieces, but I'm working to create pathways to a journey so the reader will not only engage, but also stay engaged. Thanks for this reminder.
