Yes - the constant fear of "not being enough" - the breadcrumbing narcissist knows this - senses it - and uses it to their advantage to keep a steady stream of supply around. Of course, they have preferred supply, but they keep giving you crumbs "just in case..." worst thing for them: they LOSE you, even if they never really actually want to see/be with you.
