I’ve been writing at NewsBreak for almost a year now and I’ve found the experience to be — rewarding. Sure, some of my stories are kinda boring “straight news.” But, the payoff comes in the payoff. That is, when I get that direct deposit from my NewsBreak earnings, I have some freedom to write other pieces.

Plus, well, it’s not all boring news stuff.

New NewsBreak writer Judy Derby details her experience in this recent piece:

From Local History to Psychology. A week of writing on NewsBreak | by Judy Derby | Jan, 2023 | Medium

The point: Write the stories you want to write.

Follow the NewsBreak guidelines.

Make money.

That’s it.

What’s your NewsBreak experience?
