Want More Eyes on Your Work in 2024?

This content-sharing site may help

Whether you are a regular writer on Medium or on other platforms, you’re likely not writing solely for your eyes.

You’re putting your work out there in the hopes that someone or several someones or even a whole fuck ton of someones reads what you write down.

Maybe you’d also enjoy some feedback.

And perhaps, just maybe, you’d like to earn even a few pennies — or even whole dollars — from your writing endeavors.

Medium is a great place to find an audience of readers — and of writers who are readers.

So, if you’re here, you’re in a great place.

But you still need to find a way to get Medium members to read what you write. Especially if the idea of earning any money from writing here has ever entered your head.

Sure, you can build up a following. But, just because someone follows you — or even subscribes, that does not mean they see all the content you put out.

In fact, I’ve read from some presumably reliable sources that about 1% of your followers can be expected to see any single piece of content you publish here.

So, how do you get in front of more readers?

Well, one content-sharing site with lots of Medium members is ManyStories.

I’ve been sharing my work there for some time now. I share my Medium stories as well as my content from NewsBreak and my work on education policy and consumer finance that I publish over at Substack.

I also read stories I see over there.

If a Medium member finds your story on ManyStories and clicks through to read it, you get the benefit of Medium earnings (if you’re in the Partner Program).

I’ve definitely discovered writing at ManyStories that I’d never encountered at Medium.

Is ManyStories a way to get tons of views and reads?

Not exactly.

But it is a super easy way to share content and potentially reach new readers.

Where do you share your stories?

Speaking of stories and views, my most popular Medium story this year was published recently — strong views, strong earnings. The writing I’ve done around alcohol use and recovery has (so far) been my most “successful” on Medium.
