Ugh - this is quite frustrating. Of course, we want to engage with other writers. I appreciate those who respond to my pieces, and it often prompts me to respond to their work. I also like to think that if someone sees a meaningful comment by me on one of their pieces, they'll maybe check out what I've written and read a piece IF it catches their attention.
