This is absolutely essential! Get to the point - early. What IS the story about? I see lots of writers who save the "punchline" for the end - But readers read the heading, subhead, and first graph - if that's interesting, they read more. If you put the key facts late in the story, you risk losing your reader. Great points here, Nick!
