These are some good points, Cecilia. I definitely think this is an issue partners need to navigate - and communicate about.

For me, the biggest issue is open communication - as you note in 2, if you just have complete transparency, that can avoid a lot of trouble.

On the other hand, if someone you though you could trust before violated your trust, you may have difficulty reaching a comfort level again.
