That's a very reasonable goal. You can't expect to write 5 or 10 stories and just start earning. Sure, one of them may be a huge hit. But readers want to know you will be consistently delivering the content they value. I've written over 300 stories, and I finally am making SOME money on Medium. It takes patience and persistence (plus decent writing) to earn money here.
