Thanks for this honest perspective. I've been on NewsBreak for just over a month and applied for monetization. No word on that, yet. That said, the comments there are "something special" to be sure. Not great, but I don't mind that part. I do publish pieces besides "local" news - in specific niches. That said, I'm also reading about a long delay between applying for monetization and actually being approved. I'm not eager to keep churning out content without getting paid, so ... I wait.
