Thank you for sharing this bit about shark music. I'm learning (slowly) to accept and listen to what needs to be said after the words "can we talk" - for me, there's even more dread in knowing I need to be the one initiating a conversation - for me, saying "can we talk" means I'm asking the other person to be scared, to be uncomfortable - and that idea makes me wildly uncomfortable - I have learned, though, that avoiding confrontation is not at all healthy - and, in fact, makes my overall anxiety worse. Better to try and talk it through than to hold it in - I'm trying, trying on that front.
