Stories that might need a little more love

Every month, I take a look back to see which stories from the previous month got the most attention — in both views/reads and in earnings.

This can be fun — and also helpful in terms of just getting a sense of what readers here enjoy.

That said, there are often times when I write a piece and it doesn’t get as much attention as I’d like.

So, here are three stories that I’d love to get some eyes on.

How a Night Out Leads to a Lost Week

This one deals with alcohol abuse — and with the “lost time” that is a regular feature for those who overindulge in this toxic substance.

Birds of Pray

This is an older story — a work of fiction — and maybe one of the darkest pieces I’ve written. It’s envisioned as part of a larger work — a short story collection or novel. Wanda has a pretty interesting hobby — one she’s painstakingly perfected.

I Was Sent Outside to Water the House

This one just hurts. Writing it helped. Talking with my sister and getting some confirmation also offered comfort.
