A Simily Surge?

More recently, I’ve noted two things: 1) The platform is growing very slowly. 2) The platform should do much more to promote writing on the site.
I was pleased to have one of my pieces chosen as “Story of the Month” and even more pleased to see the growth since they’ve sent three emails featuring that story.
However, I’ve also noticed that Simily’s social sites appear to be essentially dead. So, the promotion is coming on the website and then through email. That’s it. There’ve been no tweets since June and the Simily Facebook page appears similarly inactive.
Plus, some writers have noted technical difficulties with getting stories to load.

Simily has also featured the winner of their “Poem of the Month” in a recent email.
Again, highlighting the writers and writing that make Simily an enjoyable platform is great. It puts writers and their writing in front of interested readers. In my experience over a couple weeks, it has helped draw new readers to my content.
Simily needs to do more of this. A lot more!
Of course, the positive of promotion is balanced by the negative of recurring technical difficulties. As Maryandra Barker (Poem of the Month Winner) notes:
