I’ve now been chronicling my journey writing on Simily for 23 weeks.

The site now has nearly 4000 members and continues to grow very slowly. Still, it is growing.

I have 125 followers — not bad considering I spend only a bit of time there each day.

I’ve published nine stories there so far.

Here’s the one that has gotten the most reads:

I write each week that I’m hopeful Simily makes some needed upgrades soon. So far, they’ve talked about moving hosting platforms (away from WordPress) but nothing has happened.

Surely, that’s an issue of money. Once they reach some critical mass of members OR find an investor willing to take a chance, they’ll migrate. Even then, it could take a while. Probably early 2023 if things started moving soon.

I think it is a good sign that writers continue to join the platform. I like the fact they’ve started doing SOME more promotion of writing. I like the writing I read there — it’s generally interesting and of good quality.

That said, I don’t have much more in the way of an update.

What about you? Have you written on Simily? What other platforms do you use for publishing creative writing?
