If you’re a writer seeking to earn money from the words you put online, you’ve probably explored several platforms or vehicles for making that happen.

Some (a very few) writers here on Medium make decent money. Others earn at least coffee cash every month. There’s also the newsletter platform Substack.

One site that gets mentioned often as a way for writers to earn is NewsBreak.

It’s a fairly new site and Inna Dinkins ✨does a nice job explaining how NewsBreak is able to pay writers relatively well.

The bottom line: Ads.

Yes, as Dinkins notes, the site has some serious investment cash. But the real reason there’s money floating around is because NewsBreak has millions of users and shows them ads.
