My NewsBreak Earnings Were Double My Medium Earnings in May
That’s good news and bad news
I’ve been writing on NewsBreak for over a year now, and almost immediately, my earnings there eclipsed what I earn here at Medium.
Yes, usually by a factor of 7 or 10 or even more.
Of course, this was due in part to my relatively low (coffee money) Medium earnings.
Still, I was always pretty excited to look at my NewsBreak numbers.
Until May.
I kept writing the same types of stories and kept not seeing any “big” hits. No stories that earned in the high double or even into the triple digits.
I just kept cobbling together relatively small stories.
Good news: Even with the low NewsBreak numbers, I earned twice as much as a did here at Medium.
Also good news: My Medium earnings have been trending up — which means the gap was closing anyway.
