My NewsBreak Earnings were 5x My Medium Earnings in September
NewsBreak continues to be a reliable moneymaker
I’ve been writing at NewsBreak since February and regularly chronicling my experience there with posts here on Medium.
Since I’ve been accepted into monetization at NewsBreak (requires 10 published stories and 100 followers), my earnings on NewsBreak have been outpacing what I earn writing on Medium.
This month, it was only a 5x difference — but that’s pretty significant.
I’ve also just surpassed 3000 NewsBreak followers — that’s more than 3x my Medium followers.
On NewsBreak, if you write content that meets their guidelines, your stories will get in front of an audience.
I don’t do any social promotion of my NewsBreak pieces and I gain new followers all the time. Plus, my stories there get thousands of reads.
One word of warning: The comments are a special kind of hell. There’s no real bonus to engaging in the comments or on the work of other writers. So, I typically just note the new comments and avoid any interaction. You can get lost in all the negativity.
In short, if you’re looking to earn from writing and can craft pieces that meet NewsBreak’s rules, you can definitely earn there.
