My NewsBreak Earnings were 16x my Medium Earnings in March
This just keeps happening
I’ll keep this one pretty short.
I’ve been writing on Medium for about two years now and on NewsBreak for just over a year.
Once I got approved for NewsBreak’s contributor platform, I’ve been consistently earning much more there than on Medium.
Yes, there are many benefits to writing on Medium — including the frienships and camaraderie from fellow writers.
However, it IS nice to earn from your writing — and NewsBreak makes that possible in a way that Medium does not.
In short, NewsBreak accepts ads — and all NewsBreak users see ads. NB then shares a portion of that revenue with the writers who draw in viewers.
Medium, by contrast, only pays for views by Medium members.
The potential to earn, then, is greater at NB to begin. I’m not sure of the revenue sharing model, but I do know that I’ve consistently earned more — from 5x to 16x more — writing at NB than I do at Medium.
Sure, I love the connections on Medium. But I also like earning money from my writing.
NB makes that possible.
