NewsBreak continues to be a solid platform for earning from writing
It happened again. My NewsBreak earnings continue to far outpace my Medium earnings. It’s a great feeling, really. To be writing on a platform where your work is read AND you earn a decent side income from it.
To be clear, I LOVE writing on Medium. You can write and publish what you want when you want. You can earn some money in the process. You can network and engage with other committed writers. There are tons of benefits here.
That said, monetizing your writing is what gives you time to write. If you know you can make steady money, you can set aside time to write by passing up other earning opportunities. Sure, I love writing for my freelance clients, but I also want the freedom to have more choice over the clients I take. Earning on Medium, NewsBreak, and Substack helps give me that freedom.
