Every month, I chronicle my writing journey here at Medium. This is a way to both keep track of what’s doing well for me on the platform and also to show other writers at least one example of what is (and isn’t) working.

This month, my top story was about Simily. This is a creative writing platform that once positioned itself as the “fiction-focused” alternative to Medium.

I wrote there for nearly a year before giving up after all the social platforms associated with it went silent AND they stopped adding features/updating the platform.

Here’s my top earning story from March about what I once hope could be the “Medium” of creative writing.

In fact, four of my top five stories this past month were about my journey writing on OTHER platforms.
