Rev. Michael McNair Pastor of First A.M.E. Zion Church in Knoxville addressed the urgency of the issue, saying, “The special session in August must address the crisis of gun violence in Tennessee, and pass common sense reforms. So we’ve come together collectively to try to make a difference in our state in the state of Tennessee. As you know, there’s a supermajority and they pretty much do what they want to do. So we want to hold those persons who are in position of authority accountable for that.”
