It’s Simily Story of the Month Time

Simily does do SOME promotion of their writers

I continue to write on Simily and regularly chronicle my journey on the site.

One of my constant refrains is that Simily should do more to promote the writing and writers on the site.

It is worth noting, though, that they do have a “Story of the Month” feature.

I’m happy to note, too, that my story “Birds of Pray” is on the ballot this month.

Birds of Pray — Simily

There are some other great stories on the list, too.

This is what Simily should be doing MORE of. Promoting the writers and writing on the site. I have seen a nice uptick in reads since the Story of the Month email came out.

I’m betting other writers nominated saw the same. I’m going to bet that the winner gets even more reads.

All good.

Now, though, Simily should be doing this a lot.

Maybe a story of the month by genre, for example. Or, a poem of the month, too.

The Simily social media accounts should DAILY be promoting stories.

As the site creeps toward 5000 members, Simily should be celebrating the great writing there and encouraging others to join.

Have you been writing on Simily? What’s your experience like there or at other platforms focused on creative writing?
