It seems to me that openness to questions only serves to increase true faith. I liken this to the parents who suggest that public schools should espouse a certain brand of religion (typically, Christianity) - and eschew any learning about all others for fear their child may wander from the "Gospel." If, after exploration and investigation, a child chooses a path of faith, that faith will only be stronger for having explored and questioned.
