I hear and read this story over and over and over again - and it is 90+% of the time a woman who takes on the parenting role of an adult-sized manchild (along with primary parenting responsibilities of the actual children) - I think we have a long way to go toward teaching men to be responsible - to be adults. This may explain, though, why younger people are delaying or foregoing marriage all together - that is, men are still asking, but women aren't that eager to accept.
