I did not sleep election night - and kept waiting for the "real" news - the shift - the votes freshly-counted that would indicate we are ok (though, let's be honest - if the results were the opposite, it would still be appalling that 49% of Americans were ok with what "that guy" offered) - It was a realization - that the way I felt and viewed the world - the way many do - is not the way the majority does - or, at least, the majority of those who voted - to wrestle with the reality that for now, this IS who we are, and what the "people" want - how did we get here? And could anything in the last four years have stopped it?
