Great question - and, I'm not sure. If there was an opportunity to serve in a way I felt I could be useful, I'd certainly consider it. And I'd definitely encourage people to get involved in local politics - not necessarily as a candidate - there are many ways to get involved - and it is a great way to get to know your community, understand what makes it work.
