But will Trump ignore the courts?

Donald Trump is working diligently to destroy key consumer protections.

He’s essentially shut down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) — an agency that pushes fairness in the financial marketplace and has returned more than $21 billion to harmed consumers.

Consumer advocates, though, are using the courts to fight back.

A coalition of consumer advocacy groups says the Trump Administration is breaking the law and violating the will of Congress in a brief filed in support of a court case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

The question now: If the courts rule against Trump, will the Administration follow the law — or continue down its path of destruction?
