Super fun email from ManyStories

One thing I’ve learned about writing is that to do it, you have to write.

Sure, you can wait for inspiration.

Yes, you should conduct some research or outline your thoughts or plan.

But, really, what you need to do is write.

Yes, after you write you need to evaluate. Have a friend evaluate. Have an editor evaluate. Accept criticism, write more, make changes.

But first, you need to write.

That’s why I love ManyStories.

Even though I write every day in my job and write on some online platform nearly every day, I still need motivation.

I like to know that something is happening when I write.

ManyStories sends out these fun emails about the Top 10 sharers in a week. They send out emails when your writing has been shown to 10, 20, and 50 readers (and other milestones).

It’s like a constant stream of encouragement.

It’s also a great way to reach some new potential readers.

Oh, and it’s super easy.

I share my content from Medium, NewsBreak, Substack, and a blog all on ManyStories.

I also end up finding at least one or two new writers a week — usually writers from Medium that haven’t popped up in my feed yet.

All of this helps keep me motivated to do what writers must do: write.
