Can Anyone Compete with Google?

Not really — but a Medium writer has an idea

No, it is not at all likely that a successful competitor to Google will emerge anytime soon.

Still, Medium writer Burk is talking up Yep.com.

It’s a neat idea — sharing revenue with content creators who contribute to the search results.

Burk goes into all the reasons why it is highly unlikely Yep will be that successful. I mean, they MAY be able to eke out an existence, but Google is huge.

Still, I wrote this piece in the spirit of calling attention to Yep — to at least helping move along the possibility of some sort of new search engine model that might challenge Google the Giant.
