Are they? I don’t know — that’s not been my approach — and NB features writers doing original reporting. I know one writer who does some local history reports. Others report on restaurants in their community, etc. NB awards an RPM value based on metrics — they tend to prefer local and place an emphasis on original reporting. That said, I suppose it’s possible for people to rewrite, though NB has strict rules around source attribution and a “strike system” to enforce those rules.
