Ah, yes - I suppose many of us fear knowing ourselves- knowing the REAL us, our truth. Many present a face to the world and that, then, becomes the face they also know. I recall, quite clearly, the time I looked in the mirror and saw me- saw what others MUST see (I reasoned) - and was horrified. That mirror incident started a journey of reflection - who am I? Really? And why, oh why, am I so very concerned with crafting a certain image when there is, truly, no way for me to control how others see me or what they think when they do?

In any event, the unexamined life is not worth living, and so, so ... examine, explore, and BE you, it has been suggested.
