A Simily Reminder

The platform nears 10,000 members and ramps up promotion

Simily is now growing at a pretty rapid rate after months of relative stagnation. The site will soon have more than 10,000 members.

They are, again, promoting a “Story of the Month” and voting is currently underway.

In my own experience with this, the promotion DOES help get views on your stories. Plus, with 10,000 members, that means the email and web promotion will go even further.

While Simily is certainly frustrating, I think it is important to remember that medium is about a decade old. The platform has gone through many transformations and is still evolving.

By contrast, Simily is relatively new and is striving to carve out a niche as a fiction/creative writing hub.

I’ve enjoyed my experience on the platform and am willing to cut them some slack as they experience growing pains.
